Sometimes, we see images of a disaster on our screens, feel sad for a moment, and move on. But for the people living through that disaster, there is no moving on.
The floods in Assam have affected more than 6 lakh people, leaving thousands of families without homes, food, and even the most basic necessities. While the visuals circulating online are heartbreaking, they still don’t fully capture the reality on the ground.
After speaking with people in Assam, one thing became painfully clear: many families have lost everything. There are people who don’t even have a fresh set of clothes to wear. Homes have been washed away, belongings destroyed, and countless families are now trying to rebuild their lives from nothing.
During the floods in Punjab, people across the country came together to help. Their collective efforts brought relief and hope to those who needed it most.
Today, Assam needs that same spirit of unity.

Moved by the situation, Supertalks sponsored the purchase of clothes for families affected by the Assam floods. It was our way of standing with the people during one of the most difficult times of their lives.
